Fran has been an Intellectual Property attorney for over 25 years, during which time she litigated and prosecuted both patent and trademark cases. Fran started her law career with Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto. She previously practiced at Amster & Rothstein. At Kalow & Springut, Fran is responsible for litigation and prosecution as well as business counseling. In addition to her law practice, she has acted as Counsel to several start-ups in the entertainment and professional services industries. Prior to joining Kalow & Springut, Fran was the Vice President of Business Development for BountyQuest Corporation. She has also been the Chief Operating Officer at AlleyCat Information Sciences, Inc. - the publisher of AlleyCat News, a monthly magazine covering the Internet entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and professional services in New York City's Silicon Alley.

Fran has a B.S. Degree in Biology from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and a M.S. in Biology from Fordham University. She received her J.D. from Pace University.
