William joined Kalow & Springut in 1999, and practices primarily in patent prosecution and litigation, concentrating in the biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical arts.

William has prosecuted a wide variety of patents in the pharmaceutical, biological and chemical arts, including patents for genetic screening, transformed organisms, modified nucleotides, proteins, bioanalytical methods such as protein and nucleic acid identification and isolation, binding proteins, receptors, pharmacological agents and formulations, pharmacological methods, polymers, new molecular entities, catalysts, and medical devices. Prior to joining Kalow & Springut, William was a patent attorney with Hoffman & Baron, where he prosecuted patents in a wide variety of arts, counseled clients, and drafted licensing and confidentiality agreements. William also served as Assistant Director of Pharmaceutical Services for a major hospital in the New York City area, where he managed pharmaceutical services, including coordinating the clinical implementation and evaluation of new pharmaceuticals and medical devices in clinical trials. William has delivered lectures to physicians, research staff and pharmaceutical companies on various topics in pharmacological practice. William also was a clinical preceptor for St. John's University School of Pharmacy. As a clinical pharmacist, William conducted research in antibiotics and infectious diseases and drafted institutional investigatory protocols for research programs.

William holds a Juris Doctor from Touro College of Law, 1993, where he worked on the Touro Journal of Transnational Law. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University, 2003. William holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from St. John's University, 1988, where he was on the Dean's List and elected to the Rho Chi Honors Society.

William is a member of the New York and New Jersey State bars. He is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
